Information Architecture

We created a site map to help guide the workflows that can be accomplished while using this app. We used our sketches to indicate what different screens were available and the below architecture map helped show how those different screens and workflows are connected.

In the next task, we also developed user task flows as well to illustrate how users would use the app for accomplishing specific tasks. The difference is that the below site map shows all possible connections from any one screen to another, while the user task flows are focused on which screens are important for each specific user workflow. Both are valuable because we need the overall site map to understand the design and architecture of the big picture for the app, while the user task flows are important for understanding and making sure that users can smoothly accomplish their specific goals by using the app.
